Hawken : More Gameplay, More Anticipation

The latest trailer/teaser for Hawken has finally arrived, just in time for Friday and another call for beta applicants. Among the new features teased? We got a taste of how the HUD is shaping up, a peek at a king of the hill style gameplay mode and a solid confirmation of a fine release date of December 12, 2012. The gameplay is looking as  visceral as ever, with plenty of atmospheric debris getting tossed up during fights, mechs overheating and some pretty convincing camera shake. I'm just hoping that they adapt a good free to play model for when the game releases, focusing on customization rather than giving paying members an edge. Its been incredible seeing this game attract so much attention with such few people aboard, a testament to what a scrappy group of passionate people can achieve.
