While I've been away for a bit(I'm so sorry, I still love most of you guys), I've been discovering quite a bit of new music to listen to during the new year. Alvin Band's Rainbow Road is my newest musical obsession, maintaining a constant presence in my playlists. Musician, Rick Alvin Schaier, composes all you hear, from instruments to the layers upon layers of vocals. It's an awesome sound. Perfect for late night drives, and a good reading companion.
What's even more awesome is Schaier's use of Mario Kart and other Nintendo samples throughout each of the songs. Instead of most modern day artists, Alvin Band's samples aren't constantly punching you in the d*ck in an attempt to remind you that they are in fact samples.
