Perfect for small talk. (Via) |
Artist Justin Gignac brought a completely impractical idea to life via the simple use of good packaging. This might be the most genius, or diabolical ploy to make money that I've ever seen, selling New York garbage in an airtight cube for $100 a pop. For that price you get a one of a kind, packaged piece featuring hand picked garbage...Thats right, hand picked and packaged garbage from New York. Justin went so far as to even create themed, "Limited edition" cubes from events like the Yankees Parade, Saint Patty's Day and the Obama Inauguration. I guess this proves the point that if the package is appealing enough, you can sell garbage for gold. Want to see how successful Justin Gignac was at selling his garbage cubes? Check out his jaw dropping cube owner map after the break!
