TF2 Charity Nets Plenty Of Aid

Following the events in Japan, Valve rolled out a program to raise money for the disaster relief fund in Japan.  Using the hat frenzied community on Team Fortress 2, they unveiled three items late March: The Humanitarians Hachimaki($7.99), The Benefactors Kanumuri($19.99) and the Magnanimous Monarch($99.99).  The response was overwhelming, and the final figure was recently released on the official Team Fortress 2 blog.  In just two weeks, the Team Fortress community alone managed to raise nearly half a million dollars for the charity event.  Pretty inspiring.
