Koji Morimoto: Overlooked Gems

I've been a long time fan of the work of Koji Morimoto, one of my favorite Japanese animators of all time and decided to revisit his work recently.  Much to my surprise I found a few pieces he'd done on the side that I'd never seen before.  He's been involved in some landmark anime features, including Akira and anthology projects like Memories and the Animatrix.

Even if the music isn't to your taste, you have to agree that the animation is top notch, fluid and highly detailed.  In my opinon he kind of represents the old guard of Japanese anime, one of the people who participated in the golden age of the medium back in the day.  Another music video after the jump.
