The Dark Knight Returns Gets The Movie It Deserves

One of the most renowned and most known Batman stories is getting an animated adaptation.

Coming from the same team that brought us the All-Star Superman and the upcoming Batman: Year One animated adaptations, The Dark Knight Returns is a 1986 comic classic telling the story of a middle-aged Batman who comes out of retirement to fight crime, only to face opposition from the Gotham City police force and the United States government.

The comic shaped the idea of Batman most fans know and love to this day; dark, gritty and bold. Without this comic, we wouldn't have the Nolan series of films. I read this comic so much as a kid, and I still love reading it to this day. I'm just hoping this masterpiece of storytelling will get the adaptation it deserves. And considering the tortured past of Bruce in this story......there is only one man good enough for the job.

Do it Warner!  Do it!
Excited about the movie? Talk about it on the forums!

  1. If Eastwood would agree to it, it would be amazing. Failing that, Bruce Willis' Hartigan made me think he could pull it off.
