Plaid - Wallet

For those in need of a Friday morning chill session plug in your headphones, full screen this video and relax to the newest single by Plaid. With an overwhelming sense of soothing nostalgia, Wallet holds a similar feeling that many of the tracks Boards of Canada produces while still maintaining it's own sound. Plaid, like many Warp Record artists, does an excellent job at pushing the boundaries of their sound, continuously changing style and evolving electronic music in all the right ways.

If you get a chance and dig the tunes, I suggest giving the entire album Reachy Prints a go. It holds the same feeling of nostalgia as Wallet, it's pretty damn radical!

Happy Food

As the holiday weekend (well, holiday in the US at least) edges nearer and nearer, we're finding ourselves more and more mentally checked out. For a fun, silly break we break you Happy Food, the animated short about a man with a common dilemma. Sure, it's repetitive and not a lot happens. But for some reason, we just have to know if he'll accomplish his task of getting ketchup on his hotdog. Also, if you've come across this same dilemma, protip: Use a knife to get the process going. MAGIC.

Studio Killers: Ode To The Bouncer

I was recently made aware of this amazingly catchy track, with an incredibly fun music video to boot. The mix of very stylized 3d and 2d animation is just pure fun, mixed with the poppy tune. Despite how catchy it is, the music video never made it past a million views...Kind of bizarre. Despite that, its a perfect Friday track. The hipster keytar fox is absolutely awesome.

Icona Pop: Nights Like This

I've never heard of Icona Pop before, but this music video just made me realize they're pretty damn awesome. Another great specimen of a track to drive to, Nights Like This features a grindhouse style presentation which pays tribute to Quentin Tarantino's  Grindhouse flick, Death Proof. I was especially tipped off once the girls took a break to eat a sloppy plate of Nachos, which was an infamous scene in Tarantino's flick. Enjoy this feel good Friday Track, and check out Icona Pop's website if you like their sound. Cheers.

The Perfect Friday Post

In order to celebrate the coming of yet another glorious weekend, we present the perfect video to get you in the mood for a fantastic Friday. A Beluga whale being serenaded by a Mariachi Band, everyone. It just hits the spot... Have a great weekend.

Sleepy Fluff Dog is Sleepy

It's the end of the week, and we're all a bit pooped.  Yeah, it was a short week, but whatever.  Fluffy little pup has the right idea.  Crash, crash, crash.  Happy Friday!

Meta Dog

So cute that I'm sure that it has caused holes within the universe. Happy Friday!
