Empire Of The Sun - "Alive"

The wonderfully eclectic Aussie duo Empire of the Sun finally unleashed a new music video showing that they're around and as colorful as ever, kicking off a new narrative filled with strange deities, mystical moments and an upbeat sound. The synthpop flavored video follows Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore on a journey across various exotic settings in a quest for enlightenment, and it's a rather silly, pseudo-scifi affair, although we expected nothing less. This track has summer mixtape written all over it.

The track is from their upcoming album, 'Ice On The Dunes,' which is out June 18 on Astralwerks.

Empire Of The Sun Teases A New Album With "Discovery"

The Australian mystics/electro duo Empire Of The Sun have finally announced their plans to release a sequel to their half excellent Walking On A Dream debut album, five years after it's release. Titled Ice On A Dune, the sophomore album by the group will see a release on June 2013, and we're expecting some epic music videos to accompany the lead up to that date.

Epic? Well considering that the teaser trailer for the album is directed by JJ Abrams himself, the bar is being set rather high, don't you think? The group also released a cryptic message on their website, setting up some fiction for the upcoming release. Check it out after the break.
