'The Gravity Gun' Is Live Action Half-Life Perfection

In celebration for YouTube's Geek Week, the VFX masters at CorridorDigital have done it again with their Half-Life short The Gravity Gun. There have been many excellent attempts and homages for the series in the past few years, but none have nailed the game's mechanics quite like this. Everything in this video encapsulates a piece of Half-Life, from Alyx's father Eli to the enemies' ragodoll physics, itall adds up and creates an awesome experience I've yet to see in a fan-made video.

CorridorDigital never ceases to amaze me, and the fact that the group hasn't been picked up for a full-length show yet amazes me. While they've collaborated on a few short YouTube series, imagining these guys with a full budget is insane.

Corridor Digital Takes A Stab At The Legend Of Zelda

When Corridor Digital puts out a new video there's not a whole lot I can really say other than, wow~ In terms of special effects, this may not be the cream of Corridor Digitals crop, but they've definitely proven that a live action Zelda short doesn't have to be a cheesy parody to be enjoyable. I was actually intrigued by the amount of violence portrayed in this short, as I can't say I've ever thought of Zelda to be violent. Here's hoping to more entries like this!

Corridor Digital's After DayZ

If you haven't played the Arma II mod, DayZ, you should probably look into it, there's never been a survival game quite like it. While the game is heavy on Zombie survival, other players force you to watch your back for the constant threat of being shot, it's honestly the most stressful multiplayer game I've touched. The never-wracking nature of DayZ is something that immediately stands out, which is why I'm so impressed with this short created by the at Corridor Digital. I honestly didn't think it was possible to properly reenact the events of DayZ, but this 10 minute short perfectly sums up one's typical playthrough of DayZ without being your typical "LOL, VIDEO GAME YOUTUBE HUMOR" video.

I've always been incredibly jealous of the groups knack for both cinematography and in-house created CG, it's consistently top notch. Take a look at the video bellow for a better look at the guys' work process and be amazed at the amount of work put into a single gunshot wound.

The Glitch

Corridor Digital's latest endeavor explores the at times terrifying, at times unexpectedly hilarious world of  videogame glitching in real life. As the world corrupts itself into oblivion, sometimes you just have to pull the plug.
