WETA's Greg Broadmore Takes A Stab At Beer Labels With "Umami Monster" And "Mecha-Hop"

Incredibly prolific artist, illustrator, raygun creator and tinkerer Greg Broadmore just released these awesome new illustrations for the Garage Project- A New Zealand based brewery with some highly experimental tendencies. The above label was created for Mecha-Hop, a beer brewed with refined hop oil, refined yeast and industrialized ingredients to create a mighty concoction that only those with robotic tendencies might enjoy.

The more organic Umami Monster is an even more compelling brew, brewed with the likes of sea weed, sea water and bonito flakes. I would have absolutely enjoyed trying this while watching the western reboot of Godzilla recently. Even if I found the beer disagreeable, I'd love to get my hands on a few bottles of these brews simply for artistic purposes.
