Ko-Oni (Japanese for 'Little Troll') is a cute and understated short about a baby demon experiencing a rather restless evening as the result of a clueless human perpetrator. The short was created by animator/illustrator Makoto Koji, who now goes under the moniker of Paper Rabbits as part of a transition into a more freelance oriented role.
Born in Hiroshima yet raised in Queensland, Australia, Makoto's work draws from her unique mixture of Eastern and Western sensibilities. Check out her most recent animation showreel, and a few examples of her cute illustration work created under the Paper Rabbits line after the break!
