Director Alberto Mielgo just recently released a reel showcasing his contributions to the excellent TV show tie-in for Tron: Legacy, featuring some of his best work during his three year stint as Art Director and Production Designer. Tron: Uprising still teeters in limbo despite an excellent first season, which garnered Alberto an Annie Award for his efforts and received widespread critical acclaim. I really loved the art direction on the show, which used a cel shaded 3D style similar to Titmouse studios' Motor City. The elongated characters and the large, brooding digital landscapes of Tron definitely left an impression. Let's hope this show gets to live on as the sequel to Legacy draws ever nearer.
