Beth Cavender's work truly strike a primal note, focusing on the basest instincts that tie all living creatures together. Her amazing sculptures focus on psychological themes, frustrations and struggles that plague us all captured in a piece of clay.

Using animals are her main subjects, she's used the sculptural medium to explore and express herself in a sense, with some definite sexual overtones prevalent in the majority of her work. Some might find it a little creepy, but the amount of expression and emotion she captures with her animals is truly striking. With over ten years of working in the medium, Cavender has truly mastered the art of blending the natural and surreal, with pieces that beg to be interpreted and dissected.
