The 25 year old Japanese artist known as 'Dog Catcher' really caught my eye with his excellent environments, rife with surreal elements, creative use of color and great lighting (+1 for his bone cave painting). He definitely plays up Eastern mythological elements in his pieces, with plenty of oni and strange creatures inhabiting his worlds. I definitely liked that he left a few reoccurring elements in his different pieces, leaving it up to the readers to interpret them and figure out the story.
