Jose Ferreira managed to capture a post apocalyptic scenario via his lens...People rummaging in garbage, smoke, and incredibly unsanitary conditions for something to eat or recycle for a few cents. These disturbing images capture a real sense of desperation, and create a sense of disbelief in the viewer. Its just hard to believe that this is the reality that the garbage collectors have to deal with on a daily basis, foraging through waste to survive.
