Adam Sandler's Movie Company: Let It Die

Following the depressingly base, lowbrow, blatantly stuffed product placement fest that was Zookeepers, we already have a new piece of garbage from Adam Sandler's idiotic company, Happy Madison Pictures. I kid you not, that review by Red Letter Media for the Zookeepers trailer was spot on and could be applied to this one as well: This just looks like a parody trailer, a sick joke. Adam Sandler as himself, hanging out with a version of himself in drag that's supposed to be his sister? Taking a concept so tired and somehow making it shi**ier?  Seriously, at this point its just sad and depressing. These movies are so f***ing lazy and phoned in that they make my head spin.

They aren't even trying here. The movies are made to appeal to the lowest common denominator with their crude humor, STUPID slapstick and overwhelming amounts of product placement. Just to prove a point, Happy Madison's earlier feature from this year, 'Just Go With It' had over 50 f***ing product placements in the film, which probably inspired Michael Bay to stuff even more shots with Cisco routers and Adidas sneakers into his latest foray into mediocrity, Transformers 3. Instead of trying to make good movies, Adam Sandlers idiotic approach is to lower the bar in order to squeeze as much money out of his horrible movies. I can't help but feel angry that these insultingly bad movies continue to generate a profit, even as critics universally pan these releases. I can only hope that these movies, Adam Sandler and his D-list crew will finally be relegated to strictly straight to DVD work. I have a good feeling that this movie might be the final nail in their coffin career wise.
