Jungle Cruise Hitting The Big Screen in 2012

While the Jungle Cruise ride at Disney Land may not be the most exciting ride, it looks like Disney's hoping they can get lucky again by adapting another of their classic rides. Disney has hired Roger S.H. Schulman (Shrek, Balto, and some other unnecessary sequels) to head the screenwriting process. Disney has also released that the Toy Story duo, Tim Allen and Tom Hanks, would be holding the leading roles. No details are set, but I'm assuming the movie will incorporate a river, some animals and possibly an evil villain.

With the success of Pirates of the Caribbean what could possibly go wrong with this? While the director has yet to be announced, this movie could either be a huge success or a huge bust. I'm leaning more towards a bust and by bust I mean a steaming pile of sh** especially when looking at Schulman's track record (Shrek and Balto don't count, quiet). Although, I wasn't expecting Pirates of the Caribbean to be as enjoyable as it was. Then again, Johnny Depp manages to make everything better than it actually is.

  1. Jungle Cruise is one of the best rides at Disneyland. If they fuck this up like they did The Haunted Mansion i'll stab a bitch.

  2. You have got to be kidding me..Is this going to be the next trilo/quadrilogy? And Tom Hanks and Tim Allen?!? This reeks of stale talent already.
