Detroit Needs A New Robocop Statue

Its true.  Detroit needs your help because the obviously corrupt mayor has decided to reject plans for a monument dedicated to the city's most famous law enforcer.  A group of true patriots have decided to open a Kickstarter page to raise the 50k required to get this glorious monument erected in the Detroit wasteland.

Murphy died for our sins, so we at Awesome Robo plead for you to donate coin to this charitable cause.  As of this posting $6,000 have been donated so far..we can make this happen.  How did the idea originate though?  Keep reading to find out.

The idea came about from a random Tweet sent to the mayor of Detroit by a user called MT, recommending a statue seeing that a statue of Rocky exists in Philadelphia.

Goddamn genius.

To everyones dismay the obviously jealous mayor could not handle how genius the idea was, and in spite wrote a scathing reply regarding the idea seeing that he could no longer take complete credit for it.

So as a result, the internet reacted the way any internet posed with a seemingly impossible challenge would..Hive mind.  Word spread about the idea and every internet denizen agreed unanimously that something had to be done.  They found out about Kickstarter, a fund raising website and set out to setup a project page to raise funds for the project.

So for everyones sake, donate a buck and help dreams be realized.  Detroit, especially in these dire times needs a heroic statue to remind everyone that Detroit can once again work towards its glory years of cyborg justice.
