Kr0nPr1nz is the alias for Ilya Kuvshinov, a Russian concept artist and illustrator with a knack for doing his takes on various femmes from pop culture, ranging from Ryuko Matoi from Studio Trigger's Kill La Kill to Samus (Zero Suit version of course) from Metroid. 

Kuvshinov definitely likes to experiment with a variety of different styles, dabbling in more painterly renditions to more graphic takes, while always sticking to the same subjects as a whole. He seems like he could be part of Russia's Honkfu collective, but that affiliation might be stylistic at best. Check out more of his awesome work after the break!

The Art Of Anna Cattish

Anna Cattish is the female element of my favorite Russian art collective, Honkfu - Which has some of Russia's freshest illustrators and concept artists on board (See Vasili Zorin's work, among other). Her work exudes a really familiar, appealing visual element that reminds me of a mix of Jamie Hewlett's Gorillaz aesthetic mixed with the typical style associated with Disney's signature animated feature style. Mainly drawing femmes, her pieces have some really strong visual appeal to them and some truly poppy, unorthodox color schemes, a common bond between the Honkfu stable.

While we're unsure as to what her contributions are at the collective seeing that her work first appeared online in late 2013, we're loving what we see so far. Check out more of her awesome (And fashionable) femmes after the break!

What's the bowling scene like in Russia? The folks at the Moscow based Bound collective set out to encapsulate an evening outing filled with milkshakes, Brunswick lanes and strikes using stop motion and Franz Ferdinand's (Remember them?) Right Action track. Awesome.

Nipwitz Russia - Urban Freestyle Skiing

I had no idea that urban skiing was an actual 'thing,' but damn did this trailer leave me wanting more. The folks at Nipwitz decided to take a trip up to Murmansk Oblast in Russia, and let rip in various abandoned buildings while dealing with crazy knife wielding hobos. The Nipwitz freeski group is based out of Finland, and created this awesome video in collaboration with Flatlight Films. Its a surreal little piece of film, with a large variety of beautiful natural landscapes contrasted by decaying Soviet era architecture. Loved the contrast.
