Danciao (Aka Zhao Dan) is a Kyoto based artist who just recently took the full freelance approach late last year, turning a hobby into a fulltime career path. With some truly fun concepts combining fantasy and scifi together, he's just recently started to build up a healthy flow of clients and side projects, including various illustration work for the Japanese equivalent of Spectrum (A yearly spotlight on the best digital art out there).
