We loved John Carter here at Awesome-Robo (See Podcast #8), and it's the shame that the movie failed as it did. It had some beautiful art direciton and was an all around entertaining, visually stimulating film. But viewing the concept art took my appreciation of the flick to a whole new level.

Renown for his visual designs work in the movie industry, Ryan Church just recently released some awesome concept art he created for Disney’s John Carter. Ryan worked on creating detailed concept designs including environments, ships, vehicles, props, interiors and exteriors, and the art really shows the imagination that went into translating ideas from the book into a more visual medium faithfully. The scale of the art just takes my breath away. Check out the rest after the break!
